Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director, Retail Store Operations, the Retail Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting day-to-day operational excellence across the retail network. This role is responsible for managing departmental purchase orders, maintaining a centralized retail calendar in collaboration with cross-functional partners, and serving as the primary gatekeeper for retail communications. With a strong focus on process efficiency and streamlined information flow, the Retail Operations Coordinator helps drive an exceptional customer experience, operational effectiveness, and overall profitability.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage departmental financials, including creation and tracking of purchase orders and maintaining the budget file.
- Support the development and execution of a strategic retail communications plan, ensuring content remains relevant and responsive to evolving business needs.
- Coordinate the intake and consolidation of communication requests from multiple stakeholders to create clear, effective store-facing messaging.
- Lead the weekly Retail Communications & Calendar meeting, ensuring all cross-functional milestones are captures, communicated, and risk-mitigated.
- Own and maintain the retail operations calendar, serving as the central source of truth for key program and initiative timelines.
- Maintain and regularly update store hours across all platforms, including internal systems and customer-facing digital channels.
- Manage the store visit request process, partnering with internal teams and store leaders to coordinate and schedule visits efficiently.
- Provide project support across various Retail Operations initiatives as required.
Let’s Talk About You:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the apparel or retail industry
- Proven ability to analyze, evaluate and make recommendations on strategic questions
- Strong computer competence in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to see the bigger picture.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic, face-paced environment.
- Collaborative team player capable of partnering with cross-functional stakeholders on complex challenges.
- Solid understanding of the retail and apparel industry, with awareness of current trends and challenges.
- Comfort with financial analysis and budget management.
